Lots of walls for one person

Went out and finally ordered me a new desk, some big enough for this huge 22" monitor...now I just gotta wait a couple weeks until it gets here. I hope everyone has a safe happy new year. See you in 2006.

The Start is OK

Got most of the way settled in...thx Dave for riding half-way across the nation to help me move in. I hope the flight home was ok. I'm sure it was a lot better than the ride over here though. It started out with a ton of unopen boxes & has now dwindled down to many empty boxes. Starting to look like an actual place with tons more room, it is coming together nicely. After I get under the reigns of work for a few weeks, I'm going to spring for that billiards table for my extra room. Dave, you know what I'm talking about. It's a pretty sweet setup, and I'm sure the girls out there would be jealous of the location. About a half a mile away is...a Wal-Mart SuperCenter, a nice huge Mall, plenty of places to eat at, and 2 movie theatres.

Bye Charlotte & to everyone that cares to know

I posted some of the pics that I took of Me, Ab & Matt. When I have time after moving out & in, I will post more of them. Tonight will be the last night I will be in Charlotte until whenever. Tomorrow around noon I will be leaving out to my new "living area," Abilene, Texas. It's not something I am going to enjoy...the whole new life of not knowing anyone around, but it's a bittersweet opportunity & blessing I need to take. I will miss you all that knew me or tried to get to know me with the short time given, especially the ones I have known for the longest...aka Dave [Wyatt to some of you] & Mike. Not sure how I'm going to handle being 1278 miles away from family & the ones I like to call friends, but it's got to happen. If anyone wants the address, IM me or email me. If you have my number, gimme a call tomorrow cause the drive is going to be quite the long drive. Until then, bye...

I want to stop time

Got my stupid car looked at today by the insurance adjuster...got some good checks in return to cover damage by those lazy thieves. Go pick on a more expensive car!!! Then, I had a good experience with a bag of this "taste better than anything" chocolates. I think I ate too many of them though. After my stomach finally forgave me, Bett & I went to see the big King Kong remake. Thx for going with me. Fantastic is a good word for the movie. The night ended unfortunately, another one gone by. Only a few more in NC...night

I'm going to hate the distance

Finally got to start the Christmas shopping. It's not about the presents this time of year or about children and the big red man with the white beard. That's one reason why I don't go all out for stupid presents. Remember the real reason! I have a lot of paperwork, insurance claims, driving around, phone calls, blah blah to handle before leaving the east coast next week...so if you have time and want to see me before I leave this side of the country, let me know.

If not, Merry Christmas and g'bye.

The Last 2 Weeks will be way to short

Finally, finally, finally back from all my dang traveling. I got my place in Texas, handled some business with banking mess, and got back Thursday night. That was a lot of driving. I will be leaving the Charlotte/China Grove on the 27th to head to my new home, Abilene, Texas. I'm glad I'll be here for the holidays, but not sure about the whole new place thing. I'm going to make up for the rest that the past 5 days has stolen from me.

Off again, and not liking it for the most part

Well, back in China Grove for a minute, then it's time to hit the road again. I'm back from the extremely long weekend in Raleigh & Atlantic City. The bad news is that I'm off again in the morning to Texas. This time on the road it won't be for work. It will be for finding that new place to live. The approximate 15 hour drive is what I am not looking forward to. Oh, and to add to tons of driving, my car got broken into while I was away in Atlantic City. Dave & Mike, thanx for taking care my piece while I was away. The 18 is still in place, so I'm still smiling somewhat. Anywho, it's up to Char then back here to head out in the morning. Later everyone.

Weekend Work Trip

Leaving tomorrow morning early to head to Raleigh for another photoshoot all day, then driving straight up to Atlantic City after that. I'm not too hyped about New Jersey, but we'll be busy all day. There will be over 200 teams to shoot for this 2 days event, so I'll be dead either before or after the drive back...on Monday.

It is official, plus my face is hurting from wisdom teeth day

Today started out with getting my wisdom teeth pulled. That was just fun bleeding more than I expected, but at least those huge things are out of my mouth. Those things were huge.

It got much better right when I walked through the door after having my face ripped off by the surgeon. I walked into the apartment not being able to talk, checked my email to realize that I had one amazing offer. My trip to Texas this week was a walkthrough at a hospital for a position servicing the local hosptial and the five surrounding counties. Aramark has hired me to be a Imaging Service Engineer at the Hendrick Hospital in Abilene, 2 hours west of the Dallas-Fort Worth rea. I'm hoping to start several days after Christmas so I can at least be around for the holidays with friends & family. It's going to be hard leaving, especially the ones that mean a lot. Mike, you're gonna have that big apartment all to yourself now. Dave, it's going to be the first time in 20-some years we haven't been right down the street. Everything is going to be brand new after it all. More information will come later.

December 1, 2005

Hopefully soon, better than later

Texas was interesting for the reason I went. Things look promising as of now. Tomorrow will be fun if getting wisdom teeth taken out is fun. Oh, it's December...time to start buying stuff for people.

Waiting

Colts have gone 11-0...that was one easy game. Well tomorrow I am off to Texas but only for ½ the day. Richard, it'll be your b-day and I'll try to get back in time to catch that.

Grand!

I don't know why, but every year it seems to get more retarded for the Cress house for the holidays. One thing is for sure is that we don't like to just sit around the house, oh and mom is a superb shot with the bow and arrows.

Slightly Green

Howdy, it's November, almost time for eating a lot of food, even though that's done year-round. Plus, it's almost time for seeing massive amounts of people running to the mall to spend countless hours for holiday shopping. Sorry for you retail workers, even though some should be allowed to carry guns to control the masses.

By request, me as the Green Giant...

Hurting back, but grand

Dustin, you know it would happen once you started letting up on the deadlifting...I caught you. In just a month of starting to lift again, I'm back at the 405 pound deadlift. You gotta beat me to the 500 lb mark, cause you've been hammering at it for months now.
Last night at QueensTown was a first for me for being almost in a fight, too bad that stupid guy didn't take a swing at me. I know why he didn't though. He realized how many people starting to make their way over to crush his skull in. If you were there to see it and his face, you would've laughed too. Oh, and Jen, thanx for calling just me retarded out of all guys. I'm guessing that was a compliment.

Wow, milk anytime you want it

Today I watched one of the coolest episodes on Monster Garage. Jesse James and a team of builders put together the first mobile milk parlor. This mobile monster, call the "Milk Bomb," actually houses a cow, milks the cow, pasteurizes it, cools it, then sends it out to the side of the truck through taps in either white or chocolate. What an idea! I know Kyle & I would gladly take this truck for a spin and for a nice tall glass of goodness.

Check out my new look

First weird session in a while

Wow, I actually can't sleep. And what do I do when that happens, I mess around in Photoshop. Here's me as a giraffe. I'm really tall! And for you hick Nascar fans, here's a tribute to your hero beside the regular one. That's one fast animal now.

Cool deal

Fields, it was good seeing you out @ QueensTown the past week a couple times. You need to have some fun with your old pals from CE. Mike, who knew a cat & 1 chip bag clip mixed together could be so much fun. Our cat turned into a weed eater last night. Jen, you know I was going easy on you on those games the other night right? Well I just wanted to let you know now since I think you might be a little confused about the whole "I won 3 games" thing. It's ok, just watching you sweat on breaking the rack is funny enough, just joking. No, really, you are officially the Champ of QueensTown. Mmm, eating Ishi in front of all those people while I get my oil changed on the ol' car. How Mean is that?
I finally got around to posting all the pictures from my phone... And, Dave, nice new furniture. I like the setup, and your biggest bed yet. If Mike locks me out I know where to go, that is until Chopper bites me in the middle of the night or decides to get a little too happy.

October 2, 2005

It's October, finally no more of that Green Day song

October's here, and hopefully Andy get's his act straight over @ QueensTown so the place doesn't get shut down. Firing good servers and serving underagers some super drinks is just wrong. But as long as pool is there, Mike & I will be happy.
