Crazy McNugget Lady

Everyone should have learned their lesson by now: STOP EATING AT MCDONALDS!!!

Dushane flew into a rage after being told she couldn't have McNuggets.
She reached through the window and struck the worker in the face several times.
The worker fought back, but Dushane wouldn't give up.
After the window was forced shut, Dushane smashed the glass with an object she grabbed from her car.
She took off, but was later arrested. [I like that last part]

Babyglow Temperature Sensing Clothing...Because You're Dumber than Your Newborn

The most gullible shopper on the planet has to be the first time parent. Well meaning consumers who at their core are scared senseless. Chris Ebejer knows this and has developed a line of Babyglow clothing for newborns meant to communicate changes in your baby's temperature -- the fabric turns white above 37-C or 98.6-F. Ebejer claims to have spent 6 years and more than a million dollars to perfect the fabric -- sure, even though similar, if not exactly the same tech has been around in novelty-Tees for the last 20 years. How much does a single bodysuit cost? Try £20 or about $33 per. Are you really going to trust this man with your treasure, be it carbon or gold?

Simpson's Prison Sentence at Least 15 Years

Las Vegas - O.J. Simpson was sentenced today to a minimum of 15 years in prison for the gunpoint robbery and kidnapping of two sports memorabilia dealers. Simpson, 61, will not be eligible for parole for five years.

A jury on Oct. 3 convicted Simpson and Clarence "C.J" Stewart of a multitude of charges against them in the Sept. 13, 2007, confrontation with the dealers at a Las Vegas casino hotel room.

In handing down her decision, Clark County District Judge Jackie Glass said the evidence against Simpson - all of which was presented on tape to a jury - was "overwhelming."

Simpson, his voice quivering at times, apologized to the court prior to his sentencing and said his only intention that night was to retrieve personal items, family photos and sports mementos that he said had been stolen from him years earlier.

"I didn't mean to steal from everybody," Simpson said.

Man Gets Arm Stuck in Train Toilet

This is pure genius...who is really attached to their phone this bad? If you are, please let know so I can hang around just to knock your phone down something just as disgusting. It's all for a good laugh, you'll see. Enjoy the read...
Here's something you don't read about happening every day. The BBC has this story about a man traveling on the TGV in France Sunday who got his hand sucked down the train's toilet.

Apparently the man's cell phone had fallen in and he was trying to retrieve it.

The train had to stop for two hours while rescue crews responded, cutting through the train's plumbing to free...the toilet [and the retard that was attached to it].

That's right: The man was taken off the train with the toilet still attached to his hand (or, his hand still stuck in the toilet). A witness tells the BBC that emergency responders had to saw the toilet in half to free the man's hand.

Probably a good thing this happened on the TGV, whose toilets are typically in a little better shape than, say, the toilets on an overnight train in Ukraine.

Man Calls 911 Over Incorrect Sandwich

This man below in the story...just idiotic:

Jacksonville, FL -- An unhappy Subway customer called 911 not once, but twice to complain to police that his sandwich was not made to his liking. Reginald Peterson called the Jacksonville Sheriffs Office in hopes that police could have his sandwich made to his satisfaction.

A short time later, Peterson contacted JSO again to complain that police still had not shown up.

When police did arrive Peterson told the officer he had ordered two sandwiches, checked out, and then walked outside to find the subs did not have "everything" he ordered. He told police he became "very upset" and "belligerent" because the employee making the sandwich was not doing it correctly.

Witnesses inside the store say Peterson eventually started screaming at everyone inside. When Peterson went outside to call police. Employees closed the store and locked the door to keep him from returning. According to the report, the officer tried to calm Peterson and explain to him the proper way to use 911, but he would not cooperate.

Peterson was arrested and at his request the sandwiches were thrown away.

Still a Reason for SUV sales?

The article below should not have been a wake up call to those driving SUVs still...well unless there are legitimate reasons for doing so(work, too many kids to count, etc).

"For people who love their big vehicles, the pain is acute." - This statement pulled from below is just people shooting themselves in the foot then whining about it for no good reason.

Seriously, if you have joined the triple-digit club for gas already, it's a good idea to get out early. Now if you enjoy throwing money away, continue driving the Hummers & Land Rovers.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At $100 for Tank of Gas, Some Choke on ‘Fill It’ from the New York Times

With gasoline prices high and rising, a new financial milestone has arrived: the $100 tank of gas.

Bryan Carisone, a heating and air-conditioning contractor in Raritan, N.J., “absolutely loves” his new GMC Denali XL, an extra-large sport utility vehicle with televisions built into the leather seats. But in June, one week after he bought it, he pulled into a station on a near-empty tank and watched the total climb higher and higher — to $109.

“It just about killed me,” Mr. Carisone said.

For decades, the $100 barrel stood as a hypothetical outlier in doom-and-gloom conversations about future oil prices. And nobody could even imagine an American family paying $100 to fill the tank.

But the future is here. Oil passed $100 a barrel in January and now seems headed toward $150 a barrel. Gasoline prices surpassed $4 a gallon on June 8, stalled for a while, and have been rising again in recent days, setting a record Saturday.

By late spring, owners of pickups and sport utility vehicles with 30-gallon tanks, like the Cadillac Escalade ESV and Chevrolet Suburban, started paying $100 or more to fill a near-empty tank. As gas prices continue to rise — the national average stood at about $4.10 a gallon Saturday — membership in the triple-digit club is growing. Now, even not-so-gargantuan Toyota Land Cruisers and GMC Yukons can cost $100 to fill up.

Data on exactly how often people pay $100 for a tank of gas are scarce, given price variations from market to market and day to day. But during the first five months of 2008, about 11 percent of American drivers said they bought 24 gallons or more at their last fill-up, according to a survey of 81,000 drivers by the NPD Group, a market research firm — which at today’s prices would place many of them at or around $100.

For people who love their big vehicles, the pain is acute.

Members of the Chevy Avalanche Fan Club of North America prize the Avalanche, a large sport utility vehicle, for its versatility, including a rear cab wall that slides forward for a larger pickup bed or backward for more passenger room.

But the Avalanche also has a 31-gallon tank, which would cost $127 to fill at Saturday’s national average price. Even the truck’s most dedicated fans find that galling. David H. Obelcz, who founded the club in 2002 and is still a member of the board, sold his Avalanche because he could not afford gasoline for it.

Thirty members of the fan club’s Arizona chapter used to attend off-roading and other events three times a month. But now that Avalanche owners pay more than $100 per tank, the club is lucky to attract 10 members once every two months, said Eric Tolliver, a chapter leader.

“Everybody’s trying to save money on gas, so now we mostly chat online instead of driving,” Mr. Tolliver said.

Eric Laugen, a firefighter in Seattle, is administrator of the Chevy Avalanche Fan Club of North America. For a trip to Prudhoe Bay in Alaska, he wanted to drive his truck because it has enough room for his fishing and camera gear, as well as space in the back to sleep. But he rode his motorcycle instead. That means pitching a tent every night, and no fishing.

“Motorcycle touring is a pain,” said Mr. Laugen, talking on his cellphone from a park in Alaska. “But then I looked at how much gas would cost in the Avalanche. It just doesn’t make sense anymore.”

Hummer clubs are hurting, too. In Nebraska, Ric Hines of the Omaha Hummer Owner Group — known as Omahog — stopped doing off-road trips this summer and started riding his recumbent bicycle instead. “I get to camp either way, and biking pushes me to save a few hundred dollars on gas,” Mr. Hines said.

Mark R. Price, founder of the Illiana Hummer Club in the Chicago area, owns three Hummer H1s, which get about eight miles per gallon. “A lot of our members won’t travel 70 miles just to support a parade anymore,” Mr. Price said. “People wait for something a little closer.”

Families that were accustomed to the convenience of sport utility vehicles are having to cut back as well. Colleen Hammond of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, loves packing her three kids and all their soccer gear into her 2000 GMC Yukon XL. But she hates paying $160 to fill the 38.5-gallon tank. Last month, she parked the Yukon in her driveway and borrowed her friend’s Toyota Land Cruiser.

“I don’t know if it gets better gas mileage, but I like her car because it costs $100 to fill it,” said Ms. Hammond, 40. “I think $100 for a tank of gas is cheap now.”

Steve Burtch bought a Dodge Ram truck last year, when gas cost $3.75, because he thought gas prices had peaked and would start coming down. Instead, he pumped his first $100 tank in June. “I don’t know how much longer I’m going to be able to keep this up,” said Mr. Burtch, 43, who lives in Marion, Ohio.

It seems that plenty of other drivers are sharing his dismay. An automotive information Web site and market research firm, Edmunds.com, compiled sales data showing that in the last seven model years, Americans have bought 25.4 million vehicles with tanks 24 gallons or larger — the point at which three figures is now a real possibility. A few big trucks and sport utility vehicles have tanks exceeding 30 gallons.

But people who try to pump $100 worth of gas often find that they cannot, since most pumps that take credit cards shut off at $75 to prevent someone with insufficient funds or a stolen credit card from running off with gas. In addition, some older pumps still are not capable of registering triple-digit bills.

“It’s a huge inconvenience,” said Dr. Walter Bahr, a chiropractor in Cape Coral, Fla., who drives a Dodge Ram 2500 pickup and pays $130 per tank. Many consumers whose tanks would easily swallow $100 worth of gas refuse to pump that much at once, just to avoid the trauma.

“Usually I don’t let it get real empty so that I don’t have to see that $100 on the pump,” said Bob Hammond, 61, of Chesterland, Ohio, who drives an Avalanche. “It’s a mental thing.”

Gary Chamberlain always pays cash for gasoline, so the pump kept right on spinning two weeks ago when he made his first triple-digit fill-up of his Ford conversion van.

“The bill was $104.98, which was a real shock,” said Mr. Chamberlain, 71, of Marion, Ohio. “I never thought I’d see the day.”

Dog receives degree from a university

This sound retarded? What is next...running for a political position or attempting to fight for puppy right to vote? I am all up for getting animals trained to help out humans in need, but I hope your son or daughter graduated higher than the pooch this year.
Ada, Ohio (AP) - A well-trained golden retriever will receive a bachelor's degree from Ohio Northern University today along with the rest of the graduating class.

Zeeke, a 1-year-old dog, will earn his bachelor's of science degree in canine companionship. The canine has spent thousands of hours training as a Canine Companion dog as part of a senior's honors project.

ONU President Kendall Baker said he believes this is the first time the university has ever awarded a diploma to an animal. Zeeke has learned to pull a wheelchair, open doors and retrieve fallen objects.

Canine Companions for Independence places service dogs with people in need for free.

Thief Attempts TV Heist by Switching Barcode

A Kirksville man faces a felony indictment after trying to purchase a LCD television for less than $3 by allegedly replacing its UPC code with that of a water bottle.

Reginald Newman, 44, was indicted Monday by the Adair County Grand Jury and has been charged with attempted stealing by deceit.

According to documents filed in Adair County Circuit Court, Newman allegedly tried to purchase a 26-inch Viore LCD television from Wal-Mart, claiming the UPC code valued at $3.16 was the proper code the television, which normally sells for more than $517.

If convicted, he faces up to seven years in prison, a fine of up to $5,000 or any combination of the two. He is in custody at the Adair County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash-only bond.

The grand jury also indicted a Novinger, Mo., man on two counts of felony forgery. David Novinger, 45, was arrested Wednesday for writing checks on two accounts that were not his own. He is also in custody at the Detention Center on a $25,000 cash-only bond.

Uno: Unicycle-Motorbike-Segway Hybrid

Are you kidding me...like a motorcycle isn't dangerous enough, plus the way people drive today. Now, getting around the hospital for work would be interestingly fun, but anything else is just plain silly. Enjoy the retarded looking invention.

Here is an excerpt from an article on this thing:

Built by Ben J. Poss Gulak, it's an electric vehicle that uses a similar sort of microgyro-motor system as the Segway, but with two gyros: one for forward and back, and one for turning. Its got just one control —a power switch— and everything else is done by leaning, which must make for one hell of an adrenaline-packed ride. It's the culmination of a number of vehicle projects by Ben, and uses electric propulsion for eco-friendliness, since Ben visited China where he found that "the smog was so thick, we never saw the sun."

Ben designed the 120-lb vehicle himself, using Google SketchUp to help with the plans as he couldn't afford professional software. How does it perform? We don't know, but we suspect it's a lot of fun. And though Ben got some advice from expert motorbike modders, and a robotics expert for the gyro programming, he deserves a round of applause— he's only 18 years old. And that's just amazing.

Snorts-Я-Us

Explain this to me...cause I am quite confused. Maybe there is certain protocol to walking up & arrest a guy for possession drugs.

Really though, I get back from a relaxing evening movie to my place & catch up on a couple episodes of House. After I was about to turn in for a little sleep-fest. As I am opening all the windows for a nice cool night's sleep, I notice a car had just pulled up in front of my place...now I live in a complex so that part was surprising. Afterwards a female gets out and heads to her place while the man stays behind...

I watched to see why he was staying outside for so long. Then, I notice what he is doing...snorting something. The way he was looking around every minute screamed it wasn't too legal. After 15 straight minutes of filling his face with his stash I decided to give him some company by calling the cops on this tool. He went into his house before the "reliable" boys in blue arrived. I spoke with cop & told him where he lived and that he was currently back in his car doing his thing.

Now, what does the cop decide to do? Well, he drives over past the car, gets out, and starts talking to someone. After that, he leaves without even checking out why some guy is laying half in his car and in the parking lot with a straw up his nose. Make sense to you? Me neither...after the cop was gone, this guy added 30 minutes of yummy snorting of his good stuff.

"Butterhead" gets knife through head & lives

In the history of weaponry, the dull-edged butter knife hasn’t ranked high on the list of weapons of choice. But don’t tell that to Tyler Hemmert. The 11-year-old Vancouver boy needed doctors to remove a butter knife from his head on Sunday. He says he and friend Nate Leach were sitting on a park bench when another boy became angry with them and hurled the knife.

Nate ducked. Tyler didn’t.

“I freaked out when I could actually see the handle,” Tyler told TODAY co-host Meredith Vieira on Wednesday. “But I just tried to tell myself to stay calm and stuff.” Four inches of the blade was lodged between Tyler’s scalp and skull, above his right ear. When Leach ran to tell Hemmert's father, he reportedly bolted from his house without even putting on his shoes. Understandably, Tyler's family had a sharp reaction.

“It’s kind of a freaky thing to see a knife handle sticking out of your son’s head,” Brian Hemmert said.

Upon reaching his son, Brian Hemmert's first reaction was somewhat automatic. “The first thing I wanted to do was just pull it out of his head and give him a big hug,” he said. “But I was afraid to even touch him. I knew better. I’ve seen a couple of these [medical] shows, so ... leave it alone and let the pros deal with it.” Tyler was rushed to Southwest Washington Medical Center, where doctors found that the knife miraculously had only grazed his skull.

This x-ray shows how the blade of the butter knife grazed Tyler Hemmert's skull.
“The CAT scan showed that indeed it was just under his scalp,” Dr. Andy Reed told NBC News reporter John Larson. “There were no fractures obvious to the skull.” Tyler, who equated the pain to a bee sting, left the hospital with just five stitches. “I’m feeling fine right now,” he said. “It doesn’t hurt right now at all.”

With the scar has also come some notoriety for Tyler. Some friends, he says, have even called him “Butterhead.” “Pretty much everybody’s talking about it and stuff,” he told Vieira. “They’re like, ‘Oh, my God, it actually happened to you. I can’t believe it.’”

Police interviewed the boy who threw the knife, and local juvenile authorities will reportedly decide whether charges will be pursued. In September 2005, an Omaha, Nebraska, first-grader was suspended from school for merely carrying a butter knife in his book bag.

Brian Hemmert said he hopes there will be some major discipline for the boy who assaulted his son. “I don’t really want to see the kid jailed or hung from the yardarms or anything,” he said. “But he definitely needs something, some consequences, some sort of anger management classes. Something. I don’t want to see him punished, per se. But I do want something taken care of on this.”

Tyler, a sixth-grader at Discovery Middle School, said he has not spoken with the boy who threw the knife since the altercation. “I’ve heard that he’s wanted to come over my house to apologize and stuff,” he said. “But I haven’t seen him since.”

Retard Capsules

So maybe this was slipped beside my daily multivitamin chewable every morning without me knowing it, but I'm glad I ran across it now. Anyway, here's the site from the Netherlands that sells this magnificent pill, to turn anyone into an American ;-)

No really, the pill is apparently a sleeping pill or something similar. So, don't operate any heavy machinery. The microwave is still ok.

Retardation in Progress

Oregon Father Uses Stun Gun on 18 Month Old
By Christine Moers
A father in Albany, Oregon is accused of using a stun gun on his 18 month old son.
Capt. Eric Carter, of the Albany Police Department, told CNN's Dave Northfield, "You're talking about an 18 month old child, so it has to be excruciating. This would cause extreme pain to you or I."
Rian James Whittman, 23, is the man accused of using the weapon to electrically shock his son. He was arraigned on three counts of second-degree assault and criminal mistreatment. Whittman is a long-haul trucker who isn't home much, but has shown his violent temper when he isn't on the road, said neighbors. An unidentified neighbor told CNN, "Jennifer seems pretty nice. Rian is gone most of the time, but when he isn't he's usually drinking."
Whittman's wife Jennifer, 21, who was not named in the police report to media, reported the abuse on Saturday. Rian Whittman was arrested later that night, without incident, in the 1900 block of SE Hill Street, police said. He was held in the Linn County Jail.
Police say that the 100,000-volt stun gun removed from Whittman is similar to the type of stun gun authorities use on suspects. Carter said that the device was not a taser weapon, named for the manufacturer, but a much older model that must be applied against the person. The child showed the obvious signs of the weapon's use - burns or welts where the metal prongs had made contact with the skin, said authorities.
The young boy received treatment at a hospital before being taken into protective custody by the state Department of Human Services.
According to TBO-Tech, a stun gun is designed to affect the nervous system. Energy is pumped into the muscles in a rapid cycle. That, in turn, depletes blood sugar by converting it into lactic acid in seconds. The result is disorientation, loss of balance and leaving the victim confused and passive for several minutes.
TBO-Tech states on its web site, "As a general rule, a one-half second contact can repel and startle the attacker, giving some pain and muscle contraction. One to two seconds can cause muscle spasms and a dazed mental state. Over three seconds can cause loss of balance and muscle control, mental confusion and disorientation."
Detectives disclosed that Whittman had been utilizing the device over a three-week period. There were at least 10 incidences of use on the boy.

Ok so this story is almost a year old, but now this Rian Whittman is ONLY getting 4 years in prison. I think the wife should be charged also, for the simple reason of "not seeing" the previous 9 sessions of abuse on the poor child.

Poor lame Duke

Worthy of its own space on the internet(here), I had to post that Duke lost last night to a lesser ranked team(Pittsburgh Panthers). See to the right as Jon "Lamer" Scheyer(misses Duke's last two chances to win the game) whines as they lose the game. Just watching the game and how Duke's head coach has always taught his players to "act" out a touch foul in the most extreme makes anyone mad. But, seeing them lose their large lead in the second half and get a little behind was worth it. Duke losing = priceless!

Sorry Ab, it is true.

I've watched the actual show a few times, Man vs Wild. It is interesting for a few reasons, but nothing to be taken to seriously. After all, it is just another "reality" show that tries to pull in more and more of an audience. But, the truth is, and Sorry Abby & Charlie, it is not real.
To live up to his public image of a rugged, ex-SAS adventurer, it must have seemed essential for Bear Grylls to appear at ease sleeping rough and catching his own food in his television survival series. But it has emerged that Grylls, 33, was enjoying a far more conventional form of comfort, retreating some nights from filming in mountains and on desert islands to nearby lodges and hotels.

Now Channel 4 has launched an investigation into whether Grylls, who has conquered Everest and the Arctic, deceived the public in his series Born Survivor. The series, screened in March and April and watched by 1.4m viewers, built up Grylls’s credentials as a tough outdoorsman. In a question and answer session on Channel 4’s website, he recalls how station bosses pitched the venture to him stating: “We just drop you into a lot of different hellholes equipped with nothing, and you do what you have to do to survive.”

But an adviser to Born Survivor has disclosed that at one location where the adventurer claimed to be a “real life Robin-son Crusoe” trapped on “a desert island”, he was actually on an outlying part of the Hawaiian archipelago and spent nights at a motel. On another occasion in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains where he was filmed biting off the head of a snake for breakfast and struggling for survival “with just a water bottle, a cup and a flint for making fire”, he actually slept some nights with the crew in a lodge fitted with television and internet access. The Pines Resort at Bass Lake is advertised as “a cosy getaway for families” with blueberry pancakes for breakfast.

In one episode Grylls, son of the late Tory MP Sir Michael Grylls, was shown apparently building a Polynesian-style raft using only materials around him, including bamboo, hibiscus twine and palm leaves for a sail. But according to Mark Weinert, an Oregon-based survival consultant brought in for the job, it was he who led the team that built the raft. It was then dismantled so that Grylls could be shown building it on camera.

In another episode viewers watched as Grylls tried to coax an apparently wild mustang into a lasso in the Sierra Nevada. “I’m in luck,” he told viewers, apparently coming across four wild horses grazing in a meadow. “A chance to use an old native American mode of transport comes my way. This is one of the few places in the whole of the US where horses still roam wild.”

In fact, Weinert said, the horses were not wild but were brought in by trailer from a nearby trekking station for the “choreographed” feature. “If you really believe everything happens the way it is shown on TV, you are being a little bit naive,” he said. Channel 4 confirmed that Grylls had used hotels during expeditions and has now asked Diverse, the Bristol-based production company that made the program, to look into the other claims. “We take any allegations of misleading our audiences seriously,” said a spokeswoman for the channel.

The latest suggestion that Channel 4 may have breached viewer trust comes as the broad-caster’s supervisory board prepares to issue new editorial guidelines to suppliers in order to stamp out alleged sharp practices that mislead viewers. “Born Survivor is not an observational documentary series but a ‘how to’ guide to basic survival techniques in extreme environments,” the spokeswoman said.

“The program explicitly does not claim that presenter Bear Grylls’s experience is one of unaided solo survival.” Nevertheless, the disclosure is likely to disappoint fans of the Eton-educated adventurer, who at the age of 23 became the youngest Briton to scale Everest. Just two years before that he had broken his back in three places after his parachute ripped during a military exercise. On screen he has emerged as a natural performer, with stunts such as squeezing water from animal dung and sucking the fluid from fish eyeballs. Grylls could not be contacted for comment this weekend as he was trekking in the Brecon Beacons with his four-year-old son.

Nude man accused of causing I-95 crashes

Alright, who wants to call this one? Comment back with a good reason if you think this guy had a legitimate reason for running across the highway nude, or comment back with the response of "retard."
Brandywine Hundred, Del. - Delaware State Police have arrested a Chester, Pennsylvania, man who they said was running naked and drunk on Interstate-95 and caused three accidents.

Police said Ardonas Gilbert, 26, was running along the southbound lanes near Marsh Road about 10 p.m. Monday. He is charged with two counts of assault and a single count of being drunk on the highway.

Two citizens tried to help Gilbert, but police say he began to assault them. Then police said he ran back into traffic and caused three accidents when cars tried to avoid hitting him. No one was seriously injured. Gilbert is being held at the Howard Young Correctional Institute in Wilmington.

This is just genius

...or just lack of genius. Guns can be fun, but not in the hands of someone without an active brain. Read on...
Southworth, Wash. - A man trying to loosen a stubborn lug nut blasted the wheel with a 12-gauge shotgun, injuring himself badly in both legs, sheriff's deputies said. The 66-year-old man had been repairing a Lincoln Continental for two weeks at his home northwest of Southworth, about 10 miles southwest of Seattle, and had gotten all but one of the lug nuts off the right rear wheel by Saturday afternoon, Kitsap County Deputy Scott Wilson said.

"He's bound and determined to get that lug nut off," Wilson said. From about arm's length, the man fired the shotgun at the wheel and was "peppered" in both legs with buckshot and debris, with some injuries as high as his chin, according to a sheriff's office report. "Nobody else was there and he wasn't intoxicated," Wilson said. The man was taken to Tacoma General Hospital with injuries Wilson described as severe but not life-threatening.
