Well at least I'm not driving all day today

Actually, after not going rock-climbing on Black Friday, I ended up having some fun real life & death situation climbing. Ken & Joe & me went up to Pilot Mt and decided to break the little law about climbing up the Pinnacle. Even though we didn't reach the top, we got really close and it wasn't easy. With more time we would've got to the top and had a quick happy illegal dance. Later that night, there were almost more pies present than people.

The drive back was better than the drive to NC surprisingly.

Time, definitely not enough

So far...lots of food, a little too much rain for a couple days making the worst traffic going from China Grove to Charlotte not good, wasting some time at Carolina Mall instead of a good rock climb on Black Friday wasn't my idea, weird games into the late night hours, watching Abby use her funny methods of figuring out math calculations in her head, tried to figure out why pictures of me as a koala & giraffe were on a Christmas tree, lots of movies(Casino Royale, Happy Feet, Cars, Over the Hedge), good time with friends & lots of family, experiencing the new "Wii," explaining to dad that owning a fast car doesn't mean I'm going to jail, showing Dave his future Aramark learning location, wondering why we need 2 Best Buy stores 10 miles from each other, holding Abby back from eating the world while trying to get Charlie to eat before Abby, still continue to fix computer problems even though I am on vacation(why me?), racing Paul and his new car(and winning), sneaking into the YMCA for free, having a great workout with mom and hearing her talk about the "good" muscle pain a few days after, surprising mom 2 days early at a Japanese restaurant by driving 17 hours straight from TX to NC, still wondering why the stereotypical life has to be based around lame work/careers making good vacation times the only good times, trying to get through the first holiday season without Matt around, despising leaving NC in 2 days, and then some...

Good to see...The Browns, all of the family, the Millers, Kristi & Joel(and little Joel) & Brett, Mike, Bett, Dave, Richard, Ken, Emily, Jerry, Scott and Anne's baby Lauren...etc. For those that had to work or were busy, I'll be back for Christmas.

If I lived at home still I would not be as "scale-friendly" after this week. Anyone want to be my own personal chef when I head back to TX next week?

Life better in 3d?

2D pictures are ok, but things are of course better in 3D. So Ronnie & me have been doing some experimenting with some things. Here are some first attempts at getting things in 3D that I did last night. Hint: to see them in 3D, please use a pair of 3D glasses...otherwise you will just be wasting your time. Click on each to see a larger version.

Check out the Three Test Photos I put together of the things in my apartment.

Cold weather outside...close to the same between these walls

Attempted and got 460 again on DeadLift yesterday...will possibly try more in a couple weeks...maybe even the goal of a quarter ton. We'll see. See all you guys back in NC in just over a couple weeks, unless a blizzard or ice storm wipes out the roads.

Almost time

Thanks Ronnie & Kathy for taking me out so San Angelo today. That store was pretty nice. Tonight I watched a ton of home videos from when Matt, Ab & me were kids, playing in the snow, wrestling, celebrating Christmas, playing our weird version of football, etc.

A good back pain

Today I managed to pull up 440 on deadlift 2 times consecutively...something I've never done before. Abby, from the story you told me, you should've taken that girl for her pulling that mess on the soccer field. A good headlock or knee to the face will do next time. haha.

So far away

So the lowest I've seen gas prices in a long time...today I spotted $1.89 and hope it keeps dropping. Finally some cooler weather has let the windows fly up...waiting for the 45 on this Thursday to remind me of anything else but Texas heat. Dave started big boy school today at ECPI. Learn it all buddy & go to the top.
