1 Gigabyte 20+ years ago

This will tell you how fast technology has grown in that amount of time. That little SD card in the top right is the same space-wise...but much easier to stuff into your little point and shoot camera. That large contraption to the left is from 1987 and has the same whopping 1GB of storage.

Right in Obama's back yard last week was a big stink concerning the big mess that's being displayed to the American people by our politicians. Here are just a few that I felt like reposting.

Human Flypaper: Worst Anti-Burglary Device Ever

The Human Flypaper is a super sticky mat that you leave just inside your doorway when you leave home. If a burglar succeeds in breaking in via your front door, he’ll step on the thing and will likely get stuck to it.
In theory, this might sound like a good idea, but in practice, we think the device might just have the opposite effect on the thief. Just try to imagine: If YOU would get stuck to something like this and would finally free yourself after struggling with it for a while, wouldn’t you feel venting your anger on the owner’s property, wrecking everything around you?
[note: I believe an escape competition would be interesting using this crappy idea]

Kentucky Travels

This past week was a much needed vacation. Despite the small hill town of Cave City, the family & me had fun. We explored caves on foot & by boat, saw a racy but awesome performance put on by two talented actors in Red, White, and Tuna, and best for last...was out of work. There are many more pictures to be posted, but check out the flickr album of the vacation week. More will be added when the free time comes around.
